KJS Prospectus 2025-26

King James’s School is a co-educational, comprehensive school which normally provides places for children aged 11-18 who live in the parishes of Knaresborough, Allerton Mauleverer with Hopperton, Brearton, Coneythorpe with Clareton, Farnham, Flaxby, Goldsborough, Kirk Deighton, Knaresborough Outer, Little Ribston, Nidd, North Deighton, Scotton, and Scriven. Places are also provided for children living in the areas normally served by Tockwith CE and Long Marston CE primary schools. The intake year is currently organised into ten tutor groups and ten teaching groups. Students currently attend King James’s School from all of the primary schools illustrated in the table below. As an example, the figures in parenthesis indicate the number of children accepted from these schools for September 2024.
