CORE SUBJECTS • English Language • English Literature • Maths • Combined Science • Core PE (Non-qualification subject) • PSHCEE OPTIONS CHOICES At King James’s School we recognise that not all students will want to follow the same subjects and may wish to follow particular interests or specialisms. We would still suggest that students study a breadth of subjects. This allows you to choose THREE free choices. After you have chosen ONE subject from the below Core Option block you can still pick another one of these subjects as part of your THREE free choices in the Extended Option block if you want to do so. (please note you can only choose one language and it needs to be the one studied in Year 9). The online form link will be made available from Thursday 5th February and must be completed by 13th FEBRUARY. Parents/Carers will have the chance to ask questions at the Options Evening on WEDNESDAY 4th FEBRUARY EXTENDED OPTIONS Subjects marked * are Technical/Vocational Awards graded from pass to distinction and all of the others are full course GCSEs graded 9-1.
